Ridge's flashbacks V Taylor's (General)

Today, Ridge flashed back on Taylor, and I didn't see no Monaco kiss. But that's all she thinks about. She said that kiss was some kind of mark of things changing between them. Well, then why didn't he think about it first thing like she does?

When was the last time he even flashed back on it?

Her obsessive flashback of that epic kiss is equivalent of Steffy's wall worship of Leffy.

That's a good comparison. And before she flashed back, she was looking at a picture of Steffy and Ridge. I half expected it to morph into a picture of Taylor and Ridge. That's how far gone I think this show has gotten.

This would work so much better if the show actually acknowledged the blatant mental illness of Taylor and her brats.

Before he confessed to Brooke about it. He has not been shown thinking about it since. This show is not making any sense at all. They are really playing it loose. We have the hard push on Ridge to return home to his 2nd choice gal. He is literally at this point, being harassed and mentally accosted by his children and ex-wife on a daily basis, to leave his current wife. And Ridge is not biting. He is not leaving Brooke. He saw the photo, kissed Taylor in retaliation, but did not leave Brooke. He is constantly feeling Taylor up when she serves herself up to him like steak. But, he goes home to his wife. He confessed the kiss to Brooke, and she asked him if it meant anything to him and did he want to be with Taylor, and he says no, he only wants to be with her. He is disrespectful as a husband, but he is also disrespectful as an ex-husband. It is evident that Taylor is going to ask to live at Eric's too. And, now we have Tom harassing dad to move back to Eric's. The writers are leaving all avenues open for this to go either way. Makes me wonder if they even know who Ridge is going to end up choosing. I would say Taylor, but have to think, it will be because of a con job by someone. Or, some misunderstanding like Brooke is tipping the pizza delivery guy, and Ridge thinks she is paying him for sex. LOL But, it could be he chooses to stay with his wife and honor his vows to her and tells his family they can knock it off or count him out of their lives.

And that's what makes this even more pathetic. Ridge hasn't really shown any genuine interest in being with Taylor...all of the chasing is being done on her end. She even told steffy months ago, that despite Ridge living at Steffy's at the time...he hadn't made any move to actually divorce Brooke.

Brooke needs to get wise to herself and buy a vowel and get in this game. Right now it seems that Ridge is feeling some sense of honor to his marriage vows. Yes, I know he is philandering. but he is not leaving or even being shown contemplating leaving. Brooke should work from that strength. He wants to honor his word. He does love her, she knows it, she loves him, he knows it. But, he is all confused. Brooke should make sure he keeps to his word and his vows and stays true to his word. There is the powerful lesson in this SL. That you do not cut and run because you are not 100% happy or thrilled with your spouse, in that moment. Brooke as a good spouse should be helping Ridge to be honorable to his promises. He has failed so many times before with his promises, and it seems to be something he is grappling with right now. Maybe this SL is about Ridge and his finally doing the right thing, even if it means putting aside some immediate gratification he thinks might come with being with Taylor and their kids. Ridge has been torn before between Taylor and Brooke. He did not honor his promise to Brooke and their child, when Taylor crawled out of the grave. He did not know what to do, so he let his mother decide for him. Then he suffered because he did behave dishonorably toward a wife and child that trusted him to always have their backs and always be there for them. Some might say he owed Taylor first, he made the promise to her first, and he did honor his vows to her, then she died. The vows say until death do us part, and death did part them. So, he let her go and made promises and took vows with Brooke. Ridge has already honored all promises he made to Taylor. He stayed with her even after it came to light that Stephanie faked her heart attack. He went to therapy with her when he did not want to. He did what was asked of him by her, to make their marriage work. When she confessed her 15 year lie to him about breaking her vows to him, and letting him see, that she was not who he thought she was all along, he felt released from his commitment to her. And, he was right.

What did Ridge flash back to with Taylor. NuRidge and NuTaylor have no romantic scenes to flash back to.

Her throwing fortune cookies at him with her dirty feet on Eric's while couch. Hugging her the first night he went to Steffy's and boohooed about Big Bad Brooke. That was about it. With Brooke they showed the scene at the fountain with her in the red dress and him dropping the rose pedals. Then the 2 of them in bed talking, laughing and hugging, then there was something else.

Oh wow those Tridge scenes. Soooooo romantic. LOL!!!! Totally different to Bridge. Brooke in her red dress. and the rose petals was so romantic. Both times with the fountain and rose petals. I want my red power suit Brooke back. Where has she gone?
