If this adoption is overturned then Hope should walk away (General)

If a judge throws out the adoption papers, that would mean Douglas no longer has a legal living mother. And I am going to be cruel here, but why would Hope want to keep mothering a child she no longer has any say-so over where he goes to school, where he lives, nothing? Basically, the Hamilton monsters would be saying they want her to be his back up nanny. It would break her heart, but for her own well being, if this comes to pass, she should sever all ties with Douglas and Tom both. Why make herself more vulnerable to Taylor and Steffy's cruelty? It would make no sense at all. It would be devastating to Douglas, but as Taylor and Steffy seem to feel right now, he does not need a mother, especially Hope. So IMHO if this were my daughter, and as hard as it would be, I would advise her to let the child go, mourn him, and then move on, because I would not want my child to suffer anymore at the hands of the Hamilton monsters. All Hope could do then is pray that they would love Douglas enough not to ruin him. But, I doubt that he would stand much of a chance with these cruel and dangerous Hamilton's. I would hope that Liam and Brooke would have the good sense to counsel Hope to just walk away. She can still love him, and be there for him if he wants to talk to her, but if they get their way in this cruelty, Hope should not allow herself to be their victim anymore. It is one thing to sacrifice your life to save your child's life, but that is not the case here. Douglas will be with Eric and Donna, and Donna will protect him as best she can, but Hope should walk away and cease to be his mother figure in any way. JMHO

Since this is a soap, I don’t have a problem with Hope walking away if this adoption was somehow thrown out. Thomas will have no more reason to come around and bother Hope/Lope. And less interactions with nasty Steffy/Taylor, the better for Hope anyway. Besides, Douglas will end up in the attic like all the other kids once this story is over. LOL.

Agreed. I'm ready. Let the adoption be overturned like "Phoebe's" was, and let's move on.

Yeah, but Thomas and his family are the ones kept claiming he wants to spend more quality time with Douglas, yet Douglas spent MORE time with others instead of daddy. :drunk

And I figured that would happen, which was why I didn't think going for the angle that he wasn't spending enough time even made sense. Now, here he is alone at home swimming while Douglas is with Kelly, something that could have happened and HAS HAPPENED, I believe, while Douglas lives with Hope. It's dumb. And a major thing missing, too, is Thomas' desire to share and co-parent. He's not communicating with Liam and Hope, and he's not trying to co-parent. He just thinks he can take the boy like a doll.

Essentially, that is what is happening to Thomas right now. He said himself that Hope has been making the majority of the decisions when it comes to Douglas' life and up until now, he has allowed it. Now he wants things to change and reestablish his place in Douglas' life. He has every right to do that.

Not what I saw. I saw Brooke actually being concerned for a little boy, and Taylor being a witch that just wanted to stick it to Brooke. Taylor does not give a damn about Douglas, or Tom for that matter. She has proven that to the viewers for the last 10 years of the show, or however long it has been since she gifted Steffy all of her FC shares and a big fat nothing to the son she holds in medium esteem. LOL. And she proved it when she could not be bothered to help Tom raise his son, when he was acting like a psycho. Neither could Steffy for that matter. . But, I did love when Brooke finally called her out on where the family was when Hope was carrying their water for them, and Taylor was mad as hell. LOL. She let her mask slip and we saw the Sheila inside of her come to the surface. LOL. It explained a lot about why Taylor was licking Sheila's ear at the hospital and glaring at Li for being suspicious of her new bestie. Sheila and Taylor, are two peas in the pod. Both wanna be killers that cannot shoot straight. Both cowards that ran away and left their victims to die. Both are bitter psychos who think the world owes them something and both hate Brooke, because the Forrester men love her.

Taylor does not dislike Brooke because the Forrester men love her. True, given her track record, she does not understand it but that is not the underlying cause of her dislike. She loathes her because she is a blond wrecking ball with a baby voice who believes that she should forgiven for egregious thing she does because she is sorry, she doesn't understand why she did that, she was just following her heart or destiny made her do it. She despises her for all the things that she has done to destroy her family. She has earned every bit of Taylor's disgust.

JMHO

Essentially, that is what is happening to Thomas right now. He said himself that Hope has been making the majority of the decisions when it comes to Douglas' life and up until now, he has allowed it. Now he wants things to change and reestablish his place in Douglas' life. He has every right to do that.

agree. and i loved how calm and cool taylor was while she stuck it to Brooke

Why has he let Hope make all the major decisions? Did she not allow him to make decisions? Or was he perfectly happy with Hope doing all the work and he didn't have to be bothered.

Thomas could have been in Douglas's life a lot more and made more decisions if he had wanted to. It was his choice to stay away. Hope never denied him access to Douglas and was happy when he started taking a more active role in Douglas's life. Thomas didn't act like he even cared about having Douglas live with him at all until Taylor came back, and she and Steffy started pushing him. When Taylor first mentioned it, Thomas told her that Douglas was happy and thriving where he was at with Hope. Taylor and Steffy are using Douglas to create drama between Brooke and Ridge. Steffy never mentioned Douglas living with Thomas until mommy dearest returned and the parent trap started.

If Douglas was really the reason why Thomas is dojng it, maybe. But it's clear he has something else on his mind. He can hardly hide his obsession. Between his sick kiss fantasy last week and his conversation with Liam today, I've seen enough . He could hardly deny it today, when Liam accused him!!!

I was totally against this Hope-Douglas thing in the beginning. Hope looked as obsessed with Douglas as Thomas with her. But it has been years now. She is the only mother he knows, I never hear him mentionning Caroline. And Liam was a father figure until today. Why should they abandon him after all those years?

Taylor showed her true colors on how she feels about Tom a long time ago. She GAVE Steffy all her FC shares and gave Tom NOTHING. He even told her and others how much it hurt him, and she blew some nonsense up his skirt about how Steffy was suppose to give him 12.5% and she was protecting it for him. LOL. That must have made him feel real good, his younger sister was "protecting it" for him. Ridge felt so bad about what Taylor did to their son, he gave him 5% of his stock. That is just the tip of the iceberg of how Taylor has treated Tom like less than his sister Steffy. In fact, Taylor also treated Phoebe less than Steffy. I am sure the world renowned Quack would say it harkens back to when Steffy was kidnapped as a child. Personally, I think it harkens back to when Taylor crawled out of the ground the last time and Steffy (played by someone else) was all in on getting daddy to choose mommy, while the others were sympathetic to Brooke and Hope ad RJ. Bad move on their part, Big Momma held a grudge. So she slept with the man Phoebe loved, and cut Tom out financially. LOL

LOL

When Taylor dies the next time, they need to drive a stake through her heart, shoot her in the head (there is no brain) with a silver bullet, then cremate her for good measure and scatter her ashes over the Pacific.

I said the same thing a long time ago. Next time drive a stake through her black heart. And stuff some garlic in her mouth when they bury her face down in her coffin. That is how they use to deal with monsters in the old country.

She will still somehow find a way to return. The woman has more lives than a cat!

JMHO

The sad thing is that I don’t know if the show will do this in balanced storytelling.
Taylor returns and is now a WRP and a saint with no past bad deeds, etc., along with other horrible aspects of this SL and characters.
How long will this go on? If the Brooke/Taylor/Ridge SL is any indication, it will never end.
I would so want Hope to walk away and let Liam and Hope move on.
Thomas and family can focus on their Forrester legacy which BB has been pushing, and not in a pleasant way.

That would certainly take the wind out of Thomas's sail. If Brooke would dump Ridge and Brooke and Hope go to work for Bill or another company, there would be no reason for either of them to have to be around Ridge or Thomas. The way they have aged Kelly and Douglas, RJ should be grown and can see Ridge on his own if he wanted too. The only reason Brooke should have to talk to Ridge at all would be about RJ. Hope could get a restraining order against Thomas. If Douglas wants to see Hope, Donna or Eric could bring him over, not Thomas. If Douglas wants Hope and Thomas together, Hope could tell him that she was coparenting him and Thomas took him away.

Yup...but that is a pipe dream. I have come to the conclusion that the BB has morphed into Monsters Inc. And not the funny cartoon kind either. We have Sheila, a psycho monster who just wants to be loved, but unfortunately, was never a lovable person, even to her own mother. She is the kind of monster you can pity. Kind of like Frankenstein. Then we have the Hamilton monsters, Taylor and Steffy. They are self made monsters. The monstrosity that is them grew out of jealousy and bitterness that life did not turn out as they demanded it should. That people they thought were less than, walked away with what they saw as The Prize. To me this has been the journey written for Taylor and Steffy on this show.

That's the thing. I don't even dislike Sheila as much as I dislike Steffy and Taylor. Steffy, especially, is so bitter and nasty. They write her as a manipulator with a huge mean streak. All the snarky comments and eye rolling are such a turn off. When Sheila is finally written off again I'm convinced Steffy will be the main villain of the show. She's halfway there.

Hope letting Douglas go to the Forresters would stick it to them - yes because Steffy will eventually not want to play Auntie and Taylor will be too busy watching Ridge to make sure he doesn’t chase anyone to care about Douglas and Thomas will wonder how he blew seeing Hope every few days! LOL
I would still feel bad for Douglas who genuinely loves Hope and I believe he lives Liam too.
Whatever reason for this plot- I don’t like it.
To split up Bridge? That is already taken care of.

I would actually like to see another fashion house and make it a successful one that could really give Forrester competition. Brooke and Hope could get fed up with the Forrester's and go to work there. I think there need to be more competition stories as far as the companies go instead of the love triangles. There could be a lot of drama with Brooke and Hope working for a major competitor of Forrester Creations. Brooke was a chemist that created the Belief formula so she could create something new that the Forrester's want to get their hands on. There could be sabotage stories between the two companies. I know that is fantasy because Bell is stuck in the triangle mode, but I guess a girl can dream.

None of them work at all except Zende. They should make him CEO, since he actually IS the only one that goes to work every day. Steffy just runs around trying to get daddy to hop on top of mommy, or she is snarking at Hope. Hope just comes in and frets to whomever is in that one office the where the whole company exists. Tom has not lifted a crayon in weeks, except with Douglas. Ridge just leans on his desk contemplating which wife he will gift with her presence that day. Eric plays hide the pickleball with Donna all day. So, at this stage of the game, Zende seems to be the logical choice to be CEO of FC. He and Paris are the only ones that do anything business related to FC.
