Brooke has neven been attracted to younger guys like Liam. Not sure what you're talking about. She was never attracted to Thomas no matter how many times her tried to woo her. She was disgusted when she realized Oliver wore Ridge's jacket, she immediately told Ridge the truth. Connor, Nick, Bill, Grant, Thorne were all in the same age group. The only guy who was a bit younger than her was Dante. He was single and they never even slept together.

There are a lot of myths in this post.
1) Beth was NOT with Eric when he first slept with Brooke. They were not married and not even together. Eric and Beth broke up several MONTHS before it started. Eric was already separated from Stephanie. They were still married but only on the paper because Stephanie refused to sign the divorce papers.
2) Brooke never slept with Nick when he was her SIL. Never happened. It's the other way around, Bridget slept with Nick when he was married to Brooke, in 2006. Nick was with Brooke first, in 2004 they were engaged. Bridget CHOSE to get involved with Nick in 2005 knowing he was in love with her mother.
3) BATIE were separated when they hit the sheets. Katie took off her ring and made it crystal clear her marriage was over and Bill was free. In 2016 nothing happened. Bill was the one harassing Brooke to sleep with him, and she never gave in. She stopped his overtures every single times he tried, and ordered him to work things out with his wife.
You are only correct about Deacon. Brooke slept with him 30 years ago. And it's brought up and thrown in her face in every episodes by Steffy Thomas and Taylor.

I see you have watched the show for years like I have too. Time for Brooke to shut them down by filibustering them with the litany of all their crimes and moral turpitude. Starting with plowing down Darla while drunk, right through to shooting Bill in the back and leaving him to die. And all the dirt in between for all 3 of them. They are the trifecta of amoral.

Sounds like this story may be getting away from being about a contentious custody battle and turn into more of a Lope angst one. Yay!
The only "interesting" angst for me will be if Hope is torn. Not that Hope should end up with Thomas, but I doubt many viewers want to see Thomas thrown under the bus with a one-sided obsession again. Let her have feelings for Thomas and fight them, this time. Now that Douglas is older, maybe he will turn into a manipulative kid and scheme to get his parents together. That would also be better than Thomas using Douglas to manipulate Hope.
I would prefer Thomas completely free from Hope and with a new love interest but if the writers are so desperate to keep him for Lope angst, they need to come up with a new approach. Thope could have an emotional affair, without crossing the line. Again, I'm not suggesting they should be together. Just that the person in the middle should be torn. That would also make Thomas vs Liam's rivalry a lot more believable.

I was thinking that this could actually turn out to be the real Thomas "redemption" story. The last one, where he helped Liam and Bill get out of jail was not it, since he went on to conspire with Sheila and there's no way anyone who did that could be considered a "good" character.
I don't think Hope needs to have feelings for Thomas or be in a triangle between him and Liam. The story could focus on the question of whether or not Thomas is fit to be a parent. Maybe Liam thinks he's doing something that he's not and gets angry at Hope for not seeing it.
