Brooke Wins Round 1 (General)

Well, that was certainly embarrassing. The last thing I want to watch is two 50ish women fighting over a worthless waffle. Nor do I want to see them butting into their grown ass children's lives, however the agendas are so divergent between them, that I find myself annoyed with Brooke, but still supporting her.
Brooke's concerns are clearly aimed at Douglas, and his welfare, and of course she is worried about Hope. All parents worry about their children, but in Hope's case I can see why Brooke would be extra cautious. Hope already had one baby snatched from her and spent a year believing that child was dead. And who was responsible for that? The very same people who are now clamoring to have Douglas ripped from her life.
Brooke completely outclassed Taylor in round 1 by not stooping to Taylor's level. Brooke came off as an adult with serious concerns, and valid arguments, while Taylor came off as a juvenile sixteen year old, who prances around in mommy's disco days hand offs, while making jabs at Brooke, and the past Taylor needs Brooke to have. Talking about all the things Brooke has done to Ridge? What would all those be again? Brooke has never slept with another man while married to Ridge. She has kissed a few for sure, but really, when compared to Ridge's dalliances with Quinn, Shauna and most recently Taylor, they pale in comparison. And Taylor needs to self reflect a bit and remember two names: James and Hector. So, Brooke has a family with Eric? Isn't that what most married couples do? OH WAIT! was she tying to look down her boney nose at Brooke because she has had multiple marriages? Hmmmmm.......has Taylor forgotten about Nick and Whip? Taylor also conveniently forgets about her short romance with Eric while he was married to Stephanie.
Yes, there was no sex, but I assure you if it had been Brooke, Taylor would have been screaming to the rafters about Brooke having an affair and sleeping with Eric.

Eric denied he would ever consider reuniting with his ex. When Taylor found them sleeping together she understood Stephanie still had a slight chance and back off

Thank you for this. I can't stand to watch this Taylor with all her giggly, childish mannerisms so I've just been reading the board. After I read yesterday it seemed Taylor came out on top, but as I said I found that hard to believe with her behaviour. The way you've written and described it makes way more sense.

I agree. Taylor is still trying to tell the story of Saint Taylor and Bad Brooke but we know better!

IMO, Taylor showed her cards in those scenes. She made it clear that she's going after Ridge and that there is a clear line drawn between the Logans and the Forresters. And that line was drawn by the Forresters, not the Logans.

Thomas and Steffy are 35ish to 40, so no, Taylor and Brooke are not 50ish. More like 70ish.

I thought so as well.... You did forget the biggest victory Brooke achieved.... She managed to get Taylor to show her cards and admit what her true agenda really was and it made Taylor really look bad and pathetic..

This is the same tired and pathetic creature that came on the scene. Playing her same old manipulation games. She has always demanded that Brooke grow up and put her (Taylor's) children first.... Well Brooke has grown up and she is putting Taylors and Brooke's grandchild first, Too bad Taylors bait plan did not work for her and her children because now Douglas is also Brooke's grandchild and she has every right to speak her mind.

No one won anything. At first Brooke made some good points but as soon as soon as she started talking about what she would allow she sounded ridiculous. She has zero say in who has custody of Douglas. Taylor has had very little to do with Thomas’s decision to want custody of Douglas so to come get in her face about it was silly. If Brooke had come about Ridge I would have been cheering her on. But this was not a good look. This is between the parents Thomas & Hope. I am really hoping they can come to an agreement. I hate custody cases on soaps. We all know Douglas will be in boarding school soon.

Is there really any winners in this ridiculous storyline? Two grown Grandmothers fighting over a worthless louse like Ridge? Then fighting over which of their kids is the better parent for their grandson?
