I don’t know for sure but most restaurants like that have both indoor and outdoor dining.

I don’t know for sure but most restaurants like that have both indoor and outdoor dining.
I consider where they always are to be outdoor. So I guess they are always outdoor. I never even considered it had an indoor. But you're probably right.

Well when he started living there it was basically a closet where they kept all the cleaning products, mops and brooms, now it's furnished and like a small studio apartment

That's because he was living in a janitorial closet inside of Il Giardino. Then I guess they moved him upstairs. I didn't think it was upstairs because I thought it was an open-air restaurant. But today, the parole officer asked if he still worked downstairs. I can't imagine living above a restaurant. That place must smell like garlic all day.

I think it's an indoor restaurant with a large patio for outdoor seating.
Strangely, Deacon's studio apartment is about as large inside as Steffy's tiny cliff house.

That's what I thought. From beginning it only showed the outside because Los Angeles is so warm and sunny, but I did always assume there had to be more to it than just that.
Now whether it has more than one floor, and there is an above, only heard the parole officer say that today, but we know the writers play fast and free with their writing facts.
I'm just glad he has a toilet and not still stuck in the broom closet.
