When he was married to Caroline, thought Thomas had raped her, and lied about Douglas being his biological child. Other than that, he’s been extremely dedicated and loyal to his children even when they were wrong. Ooops! I forgot. We’re supposed to pretend that things like that never happened.

I will never forget that Ridge said something about what Thomas had done back in Paris. It was the reason Ridge was so offput by Thomas, but we never found out what that was. Then Thomas wants to punch his father and then he wants to take advantage of the interns and then he wants to take advantage of the drunk and drugged Caroline.
Thomas, the firestarters and bomb setter, has always had issues.

Yes...and Phoebe´s death was caused by Phoebe´s own actions as she was trying to take the wheel of the car while Rick tried to drive.

He neglected Steffy too when he was shutting her line down because all the funds were to be dedicated to the Hope for the future line.

That's business. Ridge cannot be neglecting his children because he's making budget cuts. By the same token, if he drops one of Thomas' gowns from a collection, that is not neglect.
