Ridge and Taylor did a terrible job with their kids except Phoebe! They have been too accommodating to them. Thomas who was with Daisy and who initially got with Caroline were better guys but this one is really messed up!

The way she was talking about the current situation with Douglas made it sound like Hope had done a nice job babysitting him for a few weeks - the kid has been with her for YEARS and calls her Mommy! But there's Miss Thang, TELLING Thomas what needs to happen, dictating that Douglas should come back to his family, 'the Forresters'. I know things happen off camera, but how much time have 'the Forresters' been spending with Douglas? A pitiful amount, if any, on screen that I have seen. I thought Ridge looked a little uncomfortable about the whole load Steffy was spewing... if nothing else, he has been living with Brooke and with Douglas living with Hope and Liam and Beth in the cabin on the grounds, has a better idea than anyone of the situation with Douglas. Steffy (and her mother) need to take a step back and let Douglas' LEGAL parents (Hope is legally his mother) work it out. Sheesh.

That's always been Steffy's motivation. I haven't had a chance to watch today's show yet, but I did catch the tail end where Steffy's lecturing Thomas about Douglas as well as Ridge about Brooke.. And Ridge just stands there listening to her diss his wife. Ridge can be an arrogant jerk, but Steffyi s even more self righteous and arrogant than Ridge. I'm not sure which one I'd like to see get slapped into next year more!

I do not see it that way at all. I think Hope, caught off guard, just wants to have some assurance that Thomas does have his life together, has a real place to live WITH Douglas, which he does not have now, before she hands him over.

Hope stepped up to be a Mother to Douglas when Douglas himself wanted no part of being with Thomas. Where was sainted, holier-than-thou Steffy when Douglas needed "his family"? Where was Ridge or Steffy's famous and oh so wonderful Mother then? All MIA too busy doing their own lives to bother with Douglas. Hope's been Douglas' Mother for years, not months and she and Liam have provided a stable, loving home for the boy, which is a heck of a sight more than any of the Forrester have done. If Douglas wants to move in with Thomas, that's fine, but I wouldn't be surprised if the little guy sees far more of Eric and Donna than he does of Thomas.

Maybe because Caroline was barely in the grave before Thomas started acting like a stalker. Maybe it’s because he intentionally kept Beth’s kidnapping and sale a secret and screamed at his son when he learned the secret. Now that being said, I don’t see the big deal. Douglas will turn out just like a Steffy and Thomas and his granddad, entitled. I hope Thomas gets him. Hope is naive. She’s not arrogant at all. Thomas used Douglas to get in her pants. It’s clear to him she’s not interested. So he wants his toys back. Hope needs to realize that abs should have realized that from the beginning.

I think she sincerely believes Douglas is best off with her and Liam. But so far she is refusing to consider that Douglas might be equally happy with his father. He is a preteen boy…he loves his father…Thomas has made strides in many departments…he GAVE Hope whatever legal rights she now enjoys…but that goes both ways…he has rights too…he didn’t sign away full custody forever of his son. Douglas can spend time with Hope, Liam and Beth etc just as he has with Thomas and the Forrester family. He won’t be cut off from Hope et al. Any change in custody arrangements made now can be revisited again at any time if needed, wanted, etc. It’s just wrong for Hope not to think Douglas could be happy living with his father, too. This isn’t a divorce dispute. This is someone who gave Hope rights hoping to do what was at the time best for his son. Sure Hope will miss him..it’s not about her. Or Beth or Liam.
