You're right Douglas has been through enough....the death of his birth mother, Thomas using him to be with Hope, scaring him with ghosts and nightmares, threatening him, making him fear his dad would hit him, watching Thomas go through a fake marriage, ridge sating he was Douglas dad, none of the Forrestors being there for him.

He gave up his apartment because of his word to Paris. So he was looking for a house cuz he needed his own place..at the time, he never mentioned that his intention for getting a house was so he can have Douglas live with him permanently.

He's not taking him away from Hope. He wants primary custody of his son. Hope will still be his mother and be able to spend time with him. Just like Thomas did. If it was good enough for Thomas to live with these last few years it should be good enough for Hope to do the same now.
I still doubt that a conversation with his mother eight months ago is suddenly causing him to do this .This has been a long time in the making IMO and long overdue..and they will be moving into the family home, a place where Douglas is comfortable.

With the escalation of the Forrester vs. Logan war, it just smells bad and seems off. Back when Taylor had the convo with Thomas, I thought it was weird that it was one of the first things she said to him after not seeing him for a long time. At one point Douglas was afraid of his dad.
Douglas has not been a great parent and because his family did not support him when he needed it, the way he needed it, Hope stepped up - snd he was fixated on Hope.
Now he is over his fixation, his mother is back seemingly available to help him and he wants to move towards custody.
For Douglas’ sake it, it should happen snd happen gradually.
Hope needs to do what she can, but because of the issues it may be best for her to start letting go.
Hope has done NOTHING wrong. Neither did Steffy when Beth was stolen.
Unfortunately, the child’s best interests are most important. If Tom is psychologically fine and physically healed, a BIG IF, then they should start transitioning the family.

I agree! I was only saying that when Beth was rightfully returned to Hope, Steffy had done nothing wrong but she suffered hurt.
The same with Hope. She will be hurt.
The differences:
Hope was alive and Beth’s bio mom so there never should have berm a mother relationship for Steffy with Beth.
Douglas can voice who he wants to be with - probably both Hope and Tom.
I still have concerns about Thomas. He has had several mental health issues. Someone other than WRP should review and counsel.
