I just spoke with a much older relative. She said Sheila must be dead, they found hair, blood and toe. I said to her that’s easily staged in real life let alone a soap. So some people think Sheila is dead.

No, he definitely said toe, but that would have been epic ;-) Shame no one thought of that! But knowing the amnesiac writers on this show they would probably forget Sheila didn't have a middle finger and show both her hands intact when she appears again. Safer to stick with a missing toe.
