I sometimes wonder if it’s a dream (General)

Nearly all the characters are behaving illogically even for a soap. Nothing fits including the possibility that Sheila is dead. In midstream plots are changing. For example we have received no indicators that Ridge only returned to Brooke because of her fall. Yet that’s what’s being perpetuated by Steffy and Taylor. I don’t understand at all why Steffy wasted her time confronting Sheila in such a dramatic way over spiking Brooke’s New Year’s order given the animosity she feels for Brooke. How can someone who should be so grateful to be alive and have a husband back be so catty . I’m totally confused.
