Why, re Douglas (General)
I really dont see what difference it makes, who has custody of Douglas. That child is always being kept by someone else. With the babysitter, on a sleepover or somewhere other than home. So why cant he be with Tom and then Hope can visit him. Why is this a big deal when as soon as this is settled, lil Doug will be back burned again. Why cant they write a storyline for Liam and Hope. Anyone have any ideas for them that would be interesting?

I agree it's dumb. I am hoping it doesn't turn into some big custody case.
Maybe it will lead to them trying for their own child. An infertility storyline could be interesting and show their strength as a couple.
Hope could decide to leave Forrester and start her own line. They used to do stories like that all the time. It would be interesting for fashion to be a part of the story, even if fashion shows aren't possible right now.

The only interesting story I can think of for Hope & Liam is if Hope finds herself drawn to a new guy on the canvas and has a torrid steamy love affair with him. She and Liam are so boring. Then Liam can turn into a bitter guy and be like Bill.

Couples likes Lope Sinn Bridge can't stand on their own, they're so dull they need a village of people propping them, i can't think of any story that would make the Hope character interesting, Douglas calling her mommy Hope the day of Carolines funerals was disgusting I still hope the brat turns out to be Ridge's and Caroline returns

Why not take this in a whole new direction. Have someone from Liams past show up. Not a woman, but someone with a secret from his past. Liam used to be a computer geek. Maybe he saw files on someones computer long ago that could put him and his family in danger. Or how about a long lost little sister who is trouble and fun and could be for Thomas, which would make Liam's head explode. How about a stalker for Hope. How about no matter what they go thru, Lope stick together and tackle it together. How did B&B get the ideas that the only interesting storyline is about infidelity. Other soaps seem to have so much more intriguing plot lines that dont center around infidelity.
Hope already had a stalker. His name is Tom.

I don’t like Tom and will never forget what he did to contribute to Liam and Hope‘s pain about Beth. I think characters should never be rewarded for exploiting a child or rape with the object of their obsession. That all being said, a custody battle should not be a big deal in 2022. The last custody case involving Bill and Katie, turned out to be a big dud.
I also think this needn´t be a big deal...Tom and Hope are not enemies and Tom always said that he was so grateful to Hope that she is such a good mother to Douglas.They should sit down with the boy and talk to him, perhaps Douglas would like to live part of the time at his father´s (Tom would need to buy a house or apartment of course) and part with Hope and Liam.
Actually they all live so near to each other that this should be easy to do...case solved...perhaps have a lawyer draw up an agreement so they have it in writing.
The worst would be having Douglas see his parents fight over him.
Oh yes, and the WRP should keep out of it...but we know she won´t.

I bet the SFTV won’t keep out of it either when Hope tells her. She’s the one that started adoption papers in the first place.
Of course she won´t ...but it will be Taylor who starts this fight (if it really should become one)...she already tried to instigate Tom to take Douglas from Hope
I hope that Tom and Hope will find a civilised solution, especially for Douglas.

I'd like the custody story if it was his grandmothers coming for him. Or if Caroline was still alive -- or somehow we learn the boy is Ridge's.
