I think the new Taylor is much more of the "Valley Girl". She is more of a user than the former version of Taylor. She is also written to be more vapid and a nincompoop. The first version of Taylor was classier, smarter and more together, even when she wasn't together really. She knew how to hold it together to get people to think she was a saint and really decent and honest and "bred to the manner born". This new version is shifty and has the manner of an airhead. She really is an idiot. The only time I liked her was on last Friday's show when she held out her hand and stopped Ridge from hugging her. That was the only time she was remotely portrayed as a dignified, adult woman. Other than that she's been a silly, pathetic, giggly, wannabe teenager the whole time. Even with Deacon, I couldn't believe how pathetic she was. She's supposed to be in a class much higher than him, and yet here she is showing him how desperate she is for Bridge to implode so she can pick up the pieces. Even Deacon, homeless, ex-con, lowlife that he is, is not desperate to that extent.
