I tend to agree with you, not so much an obsession or Taylor would have not stayed away so long, came back and claimed her PRIZE.

Now that she is back and with the nudging of her Tater Tots that she should be with their dad, she has done everything but stand on her head to make herself more noticeable to Ridge, being sure always to speak of Brooke in negatives tones so he will see that she is the better mate for him, while batting those big eyes, feeding him noodles, touching his arm, etc.

Now where did she go wrong? She can't stand it. He actually had the temerity to go back home to his wife!

I am still not sure if this is the real Taylor in terms of the soap opera character. Today’s episode created more suspicion for me. While the first version of Taylor had issues, this version of Taylor seems as batty as Sheila. I keep thinking surely this is Morgan. Tay2 is delusional if she thinks it’s her responsibility to save Ridge from Brooke. He’s not a child. Why after all these years is that her job? Honestly she strikes me as someone who would take him out if she can’t have him. I didn’t see love today. I saw obsession.

Obsession!!! Yes I agree! The old Taylor seemed like she just wanted Ridge because tgst is how it should be because of the kids.
This one seems obsessed with Brooke being the worst person and Ridge being stupid!

I used to hate, hate, hate that "because of the kids" narrative. She got it from Stephanie, who freaking trapped a man with someone else's baby! And I'm sorry, Stephanie did know she had sex with TWO MEN around the time of conception. She just went to a frat party and didn't care. But that was the narrative Stephanie shoved down everyone's throat -- except when it came to how Eric should be with the mother of HIS underaged kid, Rick, or when it came to Ridge being there with Bridget (back when Bridget was his). Back then, it was perfectly fine for Brooke to have to raise her kids alone according to Taylor and Stephanie, but to hell if Thomas and Steffy and Phoebe could go without a dad. And ironically, they wound up going without the MOM! But then in the future, they claim Ridge walked out on them.

I just can't even with that mess.

Taylor to Ridge "I just want you to be happy". What she really means is "as long as it's with me". Taylor is lashing out. She's bitter and unhappy. Obviously, Ridge reuniting with Brooke blindsided Taylor, regardless of her saying that she expected it after the truth about Sheila came out. And Ridge is partially to blame for that. Just look at all those moments Ridge and Taylor had. He certainly wasn't acting like a man missing his wife. Ridge's behaviour towards her, along with the continuous yammering of Steffy and Thomas, IMO, gave Taylor false hope. Of course, her own delusional thinking played a major part as well.

Well of course she doesn’t want him to be happy if it meant being happy with Brooke. I find it laughable though that she can make all these comments about his marriage and how supposedly he’s so miserable when she hasn’t been in town for years. There’s a long history of Ridge of messing up Way more than Brooke yet somehow Brooke is the one who’s breaking Ridge’s heart.? The truth is is that she’s got to be miserable watching Ridge go along with his life happily with Brooke which is the reason she couldn’t be bothered to come back to town previously or be there for her children who actually didn’t need her in those missing years. Taylor is laughable at the end of the day just like you state it’s about winning against Brooke I’d don’t think that is only about loving Rich it’s about winning against Brooke and beating her as well.
