Eric made the decision to dump Quinn before she caught him (General)

I find this interesting. At first I thought Eric was only seeing Donna as his mistress but wanted to stay married to Quinn. I thought Quinn would catch him in bed and dump him, and I thought he'd fight for his marriage and ask for forgiveness. But surprisingly that's not what happened. Eric promised Donna a future and informed her he was going to leave his wife. That decision was made before Quinn caught him and Donna in bed. I'm just glad it's Eric who made the decision first and dumped his wife. That means Donna isn't a consolation price or a rebound because he can't have Quinn... he sincerely wants to be with Donna over Quinn. I can hardly root for a couple when 1 of the 2 people is only with the other person because the 1st choice isn't interested (Steffy/Finn come to my mind). So I'm glad this isn't the case with Eric and Donna.
The only pathetic rebounds in this story will be Zende and Carter. Carter is only getting Quinn because Eric doesn't her anymore... And sadly for Zende, he will only get Paris because Carter isn't an option anymore. Zende and Carter only "won" by default.

Yep. He made the decision before he got caught..that's why he won't have issues telling Quinn to go and stop Carter from making a mistake with Paris. LOL. Eric is over that witchy wife. And I'm ready for her stupid portrait taken down.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.

Decision, schmicision. That old fool vacillated between ending things with Donna on Mondays and was back to licking honey on Thursdays. Cannot stand that geezer. Sheila is running amok and he’s the idiot who brought her into the fold.

Quinn should be ready, too. That portrait is very unflattering. I like the almost-white color, especially when compared with Stephanie's dark colors, but Quinn's face is painted very, very plain. It's not a good portrait at all.

Yes he made the decision, but just how long would it have taken Eric to tell Quinn if she hadn't caught him in bed with his mistress?

Eric straight up told Donna he was gonna talk to Quinn and tell her he wants to be with Donna. Doesn't really matter how long it'd have taken. 1 day or 1 week, either way he is done with Cruella.

It could have taken a month in real time for Eric to tell Cruella he's done with her in reel time. LOL

Uh huh. And will be bored to death down the road. I mean, what does the upgrade do besides slither around in her undies? And heaven forbid the local grocery store ever runs out of honey!

I guess she does what Quinn couldn't. Quinn didn't make Eric happy anymore and he seemed to be turned off by her.

If course! Because every time he was with Quinn, he could imagine her with Carter, compare himself, and come off sorely lacking.

Maybe Carter is easy to please and it doesn't take much to make him happy.

Well, Carter won't hurt your eyes, that's for sure.

I agree with your entire post, and I, too, am glad Eric chose Donna before Quinn caught him. Donna will be a ray of sunshine in every part of Eric's life. She's the most joyous character on the show and the most loving even though my favorite is Brooke. I do love Donna.
I also agree that Zende and Carter only "won" by default.

I thought it was interesting the way Queric interacted over the past few conversations. Eric seemed so calm when Quinn talked about Carter and his situation. So I felt the show telegraphed to the fans last week that Eric had chosen Donna.

That was interesting.. If he still wanted Quinn he would have been upset that she was up in Carter's love life business
