Donna is legally a grown woman but she doesn't ACT like one. She acts like she's still in high-school. It's embarrassingly immature. Quinn's a little kinky. That doesn't make her any less of an adult. I'm genuinely hoping Paris doesn't end up pregnant and thankfully nothing indicates she will. I don't want Carter tied to her.

I have no problem, in general, with relationships between two consenting adults who happen to have a large age difference. As long as no one else is getting hurt by their relationship. What annoys me about Eric and Donna is their asinine behaviour. Eric acts like he's desperately trying to recreate his youth while Donna is blatantly pandering to his fragile ego. This is a woman with Daddy issues. Say what you will about the right of wrong about Quinn's affair with Cartter, but it was portrayed as an intimate, passionate, adult relationship with love between the two. Eric's relationship is all about Donna getting his flag flying and having fun. He comes across as an old coot while Donna typifies the sex kitten with little on the brain other than the next pickle ball match and how "mean" nasty Quinn is to Donna's honey bear. Ugh!

Well said. It would be a very different story if they added a bit of maturity to it. Nothing wrong with May/December relationships. But it’s as if they had to throw ALL the stereotypes into the pot.

I enjoyed them before and hope they are serious about Eric and Donna this time. I like the two characters together. It would be nice if they gave them a story and not just for the angst with Quinn, Eric and Carter story, with Donna only as angst with short appearances.

She acts extremely immature for her age. Quinn may have her issues but she acts like a grown woman. Incidentally I would say being made to feel unwanted and being verbally abused regularly by your mother is cause for issues.

If she were in her 20s, I'd give her some leeway, but she left those behind long ago, though I'm sure not calling her old.

As for growing up and taking responsibility, tell that to the thousands of therapists and doctors who are treating patients who struggle to grow up and accept responsibility for their actions.

I think that's down to personal perception. There are other characters in the show who have gotten away with misdeeds and appear to have no qualms about what they did. Quinn needs therapy, no question! But then again, she's not the only one who'd benefit from some time on a therapy couch.

IMO, Eric is just using Donna and sadly, she's grateful to being used. He's shown no interest in her for years, but suddenly, he finds her enticing because she's able to make his pickle happy. Sex is an important part of an intimate relationship, but as you point out, their conversations consist of little beyond honey and moaning about Quinn. When Quinn busts them, Eric may make promises to Donna, but I doubt it'll last long.

Quinn's nefarious deeds are well documented. All I'm saying is that there appears to be a double standard applied to other characters and their actions. As for Donna, well In a way I feel sorry for her. Eric will eventually tire of a woman who may adore him, but is incapable of matching him on an intellectual level. There's a reason Eric is drawn to strong, independent and intelligent women. They challenge him. IMO, the only reason Eric turned to Donna was because his ego got injured when his wife turned to a younger, sexier and viral man for comfort when he himself withheld affection from her. Donna panders to his male ego. Something she's perfected with the aid of sexy undies and honey. Donna is simple and uncomplicated, which Eric appreciates right now. However, in the long run, Eric will eventually want more. That's if Donna and all that honey and all that sex don't put him into an early grave.

Quinn pushed Ivy into the river, which was both childish and evil. Quinn urged her bestie Shauna to marry a drunken Ridge. Eric is married to a psychopath that is almost as bad as Sheila.
