Hope and Brooke have been through this in the past. Hope actually went the HFTF way as rebellion due to what she knew people said about her mother. I don't think it's inconsistent with how Hope felt as a teen or young adult, but I think it's tone def of the writers who love to bring up stuff about Brooke but don't do the same for other characters.

Loved Hope today! I had no issues with her comment about her mother. It doesn't mean she doesn't love her mother..I just saw it as Hope acknowledging her mother's past is all.

Hope acknowledges her parents mistakes. Something that Steffy and Thomas still didn't learn to do when it comes to their parents. They believe in an absolute lie that they try to "sell" to everyone around them.

Brooke didn’t just ALLOW but actively chased after many taken men.

It won’t surprise you that I disagree. I think Brooke is one of the most insecure characters on the show. I think the writers exploit and go overboard with character flaws as a way of exciting the fan base. It’s all about shock and awe, but the show goes too far. They expect fans to forget about characters pushing people off cliffs, shooting them in the back, planning murders, having sex with amnesiacs, and hiding secrets about stolen and sold babies but make a big deal over adultery, the ultimate soap sin. The sad thing to me is that with a little bit of explanation the stories could be exciting and more soapy.

I saw it as Hope admitting she has no room to judge anyone. Good for her! Unlike some characters who do so much wrong but then turn around and look down their precious noses at others for doing exactly the same. Cough, cough Steffy, Taylor, Ridge.

Apart from her daughter Bridget's home what other home did Brooke wreck? I'm curious to know. Brooke is constantly referred to as a homewrecker. Bridget more than got her own back by destroying Brooke's engagement/marriage to Ridge by having an emotional (with kisses) affair with him. She destroyed Brooke's marriage to Nick by having a one night stand with him and thinking she got pregnant by him.
She didn't wreck the Sterile er Steric home as it was already wrecked.
Stephanie had a huge part in destroying Breric's marriage undermining it at every turn, forging that letter supposedly from Eric telling Brooke he wanted a divorce.
She didn't wreck the Thracy marriage, Macy and Thorne were responsible for the wreck that their marriage was. They only got married because Tridge schemed to break Throoke up and succeeded.
She didn't wreck the Tridge marriage. Taylor wrecked that marriage when she confessed to her BIG BEAR BOINK adultery with James and lied about it for almost 20 years. Taylor and Stephanie together have destroyed Brooke's relationships/engagements/marriages with Ridge over the years.
She didn't wreck the Batie marriage. Katie played a huge part in her own train wreck of a marriage. Constantly dumping her husband and then 2 seconds later wanting him back. She schemed to get Brill together and they took her up on it after she gave Bill his ring back and walked out on him. Then again she wanted him back. Schizophrenic Katie.
Katie got her revenge by faking a faint at the Bridge marriage which called off the wedding and then she proceeded to have a sexual string-engagement with Ridge herself.
I can think of many times Katie, Taylor, Stephanie, Bridget, Nick wrecked Brooke's marriages, engagements, relationships. But that's never mentioned.
How many times has Ridge destroyed Brooke's relationships with men. James, Thorne, Nick, Bill, Eric, just to name a few.
And how is it Brooke is called the homewrecker but the husband or partner is let off scot free?

I'm sick of the Logan hating and bringing up the Logan baggage over and over. Hope knows who her mother is. She has NO illusions. But she also knows that Brooke has been the only parent she has had to raise support and stand by her. She could've terminated the pregnancy or given her away due to the way she was conceived but she chose to have Hope and raise her knowing what it would cost her. Her mother took all the stones that got thrown at her and Hope turned out OK. No thanks to Ridge. No thanks to anyone but Brooke. If Bridget forgave her mother, then everyone else had NO right to judge. Bridget was the ONLY one she hurt. Hope was an innocent victim in all that. Hope knows who her mother is.

Same here. Brooke has essentially raised her children alone. And they all turned out great. Not a single killer among them. Can't say the same about the Tridge brats or their mother. Killers, schemers, liars, homewreckers, adulterers, hypocrites.
And I'm still waiting for someone to list all the homes Brooke supposedly wrecked.
Funny how Brooke is accused of wrecking homes but no-one holds the married men accountable for their actions.

Hope had a major storyline for a long time that dealt with her trying to outrun her mother's reputation. Hope used to talk about her mom a lot of ways in that SL.
