You have a point. Truthfully, I've yet to figure out why women swoon over Ridge. Most of the time, he looks like he just fell out of bed and is in dire need of a stylist and a good barber.

That was a point of contention between Taylor and Ridge, but he was 10000% in love with Taylor at the time, so he ultimately let his Doc have her way.

Ridge was never 10000% in love with Taylor. If he had been he would have been thrilled for Brooke when she found love with another, instead of always ruining it for her. He even tried to break up Throoke and he was married to Taylor back then too. The guy just cannot be in love with Taylor enough to not be bored with her and be looking over at Brooke. He tries, but he cannot do it. I give Taylor credit right now, she is trying to be less boring and more spontaneous, but she is no longer married to him, and probably never will be again. She should be looking elsewhere to try out her new routine.

How do you know Brooke is going to do that? I actually don't think she will go through with telling Deacon he can never come to her house or the cabin again. Because if she did, there would be no reason why Ridge hasn't moved back in with Brooke yet when Sheila escapes from jail.

How do you know Brooke is going to do that? I actually don't think she will go through with telling Deacon he can never come to her house or the cabin again. Because if she did, there would be no reason why Ridge hasn't moved back in with Brooke yet when Sheila escapes from jail.
That's what I was wondering. We don't know yet if Brooke will agree to Ridge's ridiculous ultimatum. Maybe she refuses. Or maybe she tells him that she'll freeze out Deacon if he'll freeze out Taylor.

You watched the same show I did. It was one of the many times Ridge ran to Brooke, and Brooke sent Ridge packing back to his wife Taylor.

Taylor gave Ridge a LOT OF GRIEF during the first few years in the early 90s - he had to really work hard at holding onto her, especially because she also had TWO OTHER SUITORS at the time, both Storm Logan and her ex-husband Blake Hayes. She definitely wasn't complimenting him all the time - there were many times when she would point out all his character flaws and call him out on his piss poor behavior as a man. It was practically a LOVE/HATE relationship at the time, from Taylor's end.
She was FURIOUS when Ridge followed her all the way to the Virgin Islands - because she went there to get away from him and all his drama. He had to work EXTRA HARD to convince her that she should be with him and marry him.
Even in much more recent times, Taylor has cut Ridge down. I remember when he was asking her about the details of "Baby Phoebe" (Baby Beth) in early 2019. She lost her patience with him and snapped at him, irately telling him that she didn't need him to be a "financial advisor" to her, and that she was "not going to haggle" over the $250,000 that Reese demanded, because it was HER money and she could do whatever she wanted with it.
Also when Ridge walked out on their marriage in early 2006, Taylor was definitely *NOT* singing Ridge's praises and trying to win him back. In fact, she was quite brusque and short with him during the ensuing weeks, and practically balked at him when he kept referring to her "hypocrisy". SHE HERSELF put together the annulment papers and handed them over to Ridge - and when he hesitated to sign, she GRABBED the papers back from him and was the FIRST TO SIGN. She was sad that the marriage was ending, but she DIDN'T tell Ridge what a great guy he was, or what a great husband he was, or anything like that. She only talked about how much they used to love each other, but she didn't harp on that either.

For the most part, Taylor has tried to weasel her way back into Ridge's life since then. In Taylor's eyes, Ridge walks on water and she loves to tell him that every chance she gets. She also loves to tell him how wonderful she herself is. Her ego is almost as large as Ridge's.

When I saw this title of the post, I was thinking Ridge was sitting on the toilet. LOL. IA that he never ever gets called out for all the lowlife, cruddy things he does, and the bad things he has done is up in the 100's by now.
Even right now, he is up on his "high throne" even though he has yet to tell his wife he has been making out with his stand-by gal and rolling on a bed with her and feeling her up all the time. He is also keeping a secret from his wife, that is actually about her, and if she did that to him, he would be packing his bags and castigating her for going behind his back. Ridge is nothing if not consistent in his hypocrisy and keeping Brooke "down" in order to control her. He does not do that to anyone else. With Taylor he builds her up to keep her in control. I think Ridge knows which woman has the stronger personality and will, so he works double time to keep that woman feeling low. The weak one he knows all he has to do is throw a few bones of praise and a few feels up her shirt, and she is his for life. LOL
Come to think of it he did the same stuff to Caroline II that he does to Brooke. He kept her in control by keeping her down, and throwing in her face any mistakes she made. It worked. Only he went too far with young Caroline, she lost her ability to even function and became depressed. Caroline was also another strong woman like Brooke, than Ridge broke. He has yet to break Brooke, but that may be because she has dealt with him a long time.
