When they erase a character's past, when they ignore the history of the show, no one knows what to believe, which is a problem with this show.

The Diane return on Y&R is really far out and unbelievable.

I like TN, but I want to know what I can believe on this show and what I have to question. And if they're going to do something big, I wish they'd keep quiet about it and not ruin the surprise. They ruined Sheila's return, they ruined Finn and Steffy getting shot.

They ruined Deacon's return.

I'm half surprised by this. A part of me expected it but on the other hand, I thought the way they wrote his death scene left very few room for a return. It's not like the body disappeared (like when Macy's car blew up or Deacon fell off the cliff) and no one (except Deacon) knew about the shooting until after the paramedics declared him dead.

Now I really wonder how they will script this return but yeah, it will be both anticlimatic and unrealistic. Anticlimatic because it will be the 10th time a dead characters returns and this time in particular it was VERY expected.
And beyond unrealistic...Either these paramedics are absolute FRAUDS and should be disbared from the medical world forever...
or maybe the speculation about Li was true. But if so, how will they explain it? Li found out about the shooting like 3 episodes after Finn died on screen. Why is she not telling the Forresters about it? Li is no better than Sheila if she is involved in this and keeps it secret.

One thing is sure now, that was planned all along. They film the episodes around 6-8 weeks in advance and the character died durring the week of April 4-8... That means the episodes we'll see next week were already filmed in early April and the writers always intended to bring him back.

The timing is also strange... JMW will be on maternity leave in June/July, maybe August. Will Finn return while Steffy is in Paris? Will they reconnect off screen? Or will the viewers be informed he is alive but the characters won't know until later this year?

How does that change anything about Sheila's moves? They will totally ruin Finn if he forgives his mom and wants Sheila to get out. ... but we already know KB has a contract and isn't leaving, so....

I'm also curious to know why SOD reported several articles about the death of the characters. The actor himself released quotes and explained the circumstances of his departure. Why not keep it secret? Now it just makes everyone sound like liars. Very weird... They better make his return interesting, with unexpected plot twists. The ratings went up lately, it'd be stupid to ruin everything now...

I agree with you. I like TN a lot and liked the character of Finn, but what's Li going to do if she knows he's alive and doesn't tell Steffy? Is she just going to let the poor woman suffer and grieve and then fall in love and maybe marry someone else, knowing Steffy would be a bigamist? Cruel, cruel, cruel, and I don't even like Steffy, but fair is fair. Is Li going to let Steffy find closure as recent spoilers suggest when Finn is alive somewhere? Or has he been spirited away by the Amazing Omar, too.

Make sense to this viewer. I've said it from the get go..Finn doesn't really have a story without Steffy and the audience already knew JMW will be gone for a while on her ML. So makes sense to me that Bell killed off Finn for a while then brings him back as a major twist.

Plus, it didn't seem like Sheila's going anywhere..so that's another clue that Finn ain't dead..otherwise, Sheila would be in prison and no more s/l for her. But with Finn shows up alive..that's Bell's excuse to free Sheila. And we will probably see some intense scenes between Finn and Sheila DTR given that he now knows how dangerous and evil Sheila is.

I don't know, I remember being kind of confused after that episode as to whether Finn was declared dead or not. I remember posting about it. The paramedics didn't say much.

I was one of the first to say he was still alive and I explained how they missed it. A paramedic or EMT can't pronounce a patient dead,. You can even have a non detectable pulse, but still have a faint heartbeat. Those bozos checking him out only checked his pulse, they did not bother putting him on a EKG machine. When they called his mother and she went to the morgue to ID him she probably discovered that he was still alive.... It happens in real live and it has even happened when they begin an autopsy... That is why in my state a person who does not die in a hospital, the funeral home can't do anything to the body for 24 hours. Apparently there was a issue.

How would that be Sheila's ticket to freedom? She still shot two people, and though she shot Finn accidentally, she meant to kill Steffy. She's still guilty of one shooting and one attempted murder.

It's the only thing that makes sense given what posters here observed about Li's behavior ever since Finn was shot.

I think that ship sailed long ago. I’ve lost count of the number of stories that have been started and viewers have been full of hope, thinking they will finally get to watch something good, only for the story to fizzle out and go nowhere. The last decade has been full of shamefully pathetic writing, starting with the triangle from hell. I stopped watching when it went on and on, and just when you thought it would finally end when Kim Matula left, they repeated the same stories using Steffy instead of Hope. It was the height of lazy writing. I finally started watching again when Sheila came on the scene and Steffy was actually focusing on a man other than Liam. But seems like that will be short lived too. I’m pretty sure the triangle will again be in full force when Finn appears, which will force Finn and Hope to seek solace with each other.

To be fair, this SOD cover wasn't supposed to be leaked yet. The official release date for this issue is next Friday and it looks like the reveal will already happen on tomorrrow's episode. Not sure how the person who originally posted that pic already got their hands on this issue so early, but people finding out about that twist from SOD before seeing it on TV was definitely not the way the show had planned it.

I like TN and I never wanted Finn to die, but to announce he's alive in a soap magazine and ruin the surprise is beyond ridiculous. I'd be glad to have Finn back, but I'll want it to be a surprise. Horrible writing.

It would be interesting if Finn comes back with a whole new personality. Maybe he'll be a little edgier or a bit of a bad boy. He was pretty dull, IMO. He sure is nice to look at, though.

I don’t know if this is true or false - although I remember when Hope married Wyatt in Paris rather than Liam and they showed it in their mag I was really mad and I stopped watching!
I did have a feeling there was something weird because they took the actor’s name and picture off so fast!!!

They were trying too hard to say Finn is dead!
But after all that tge only complication can be Steffy is with Liam which would have to happen SUPER FAST!!!

Crime should not pay. It should pay in the real world and it should pay in the soap world. I understand that the show wants to keep KB, but I don’t think this is the way to do it. I’m happy if it’s true that Finn is alive. I am very disappointed if they use his potential return to keep Sheila out of jail. I just don’t believe in our society today where crazy people shoot people at will that any show would allow people to shoot and injure someone without it being self-defense.. I didn’t like it for Taylor. I don’t like it for Sheila. The show can find a more debatable, or questionable way of injuring or killing people rather than tell us to look at someone shoot someone else and say oops no big deal they get away with it.

I don't see how Finn being alive would get Sheila off the hook for shooting both him and Steffy, but BB has written stranger things before.

I just hope Steffy appreciates her second chance with Finn. I also hope he comes back with a spine and puts her in her place instead of allowing her to be his mommy.. The poor man has 3 mommies and it is time to ditch 2 of them... He needs a wife not a dictator mommy who walks all over him.

I would love for when he comes back that Shelia fills him in on how unforgettable he really was to Steffy and how the Tridgesters wanted Hope to lend out Liam to as his replacement. She needs to tell him how they declared that Liam was the love of Steffy's life and that is why she forgot all about him according to the WRQuack. Shelia's sweet revenge would be poisoning Finn's mind with the truth especially if she finds out about Steffy cheating on him and reminding him that she needed a PT.

Why would Finn ever speak to or listen to the woman who "killed" him? I don't care if she is his birth mother.

I suspect Steffy will be married or heavily involved with someone else by the time Finn returns. Maybe she'll drag a guy back with her from wherever she goes. Then again, if Li isn't a cruel woman, maybe Steffy goes with her to help take care of Finn.

They are saying that "Carly will make a shocking decision" and that does tie in with a particular storyline she is in at the moment. So that part is real.. Of course everyone in soaps makes a shocking decision. So there's that.

They aren't back yet. Maybe Finn won't want to return to the Forrester zoo, especially if Sheila is free. I'd be glad to have TN back, but I want him to be more assertive.

How does SOD allow this to get leaked so early? Seems like a rather careless breach on their part. I mean they are the only soap magazine left. They are usually more careful not to mention they want their relationships with the 4 shows left to stay protected because they need those to keep afloat.
