I think it started after Wil was born and Katie had postpartum depression. She began drinking heavily. She told Brooke and Bill to be together as a couple and take care of Wil.

Yes, Katie wasn't acting rationally, because of the PPD. I hated that story so much.

I hated that storyline too. If I remember correctly, Katie had convinced herself that she was dying and was trying to set Brooke and Bill up to raise Will.

Yes, and Brooke and Bill not realizing that she had PPD. They couldn't put two and two together? And even if they didn't, how could they think hooking up was a good idea? Just a terrible story.
