Sure won't get any excuse from me. Steffy being in Europe doesn't justify anything. If he can't go to Paris and tell her because of his job, the least he can do is leave Steffy a voicemail and inform her Luna is alive and pregnant and the father is Liam's brother. Even if he keeps this for a few days, it's a few days too long (but it looks like it's gonna be much more). But just like all the other times he screwed up, no one will call him out for anything. Steffy will say it's Poppy's fault, or Li, or Bill's fault. Or Hope's. And poor Finn was forced to lie.
The part about Li is very hypocritical too. If he doesn't turn Li in for what she did and doesn't contact Baker for Luna, then he can STHU about Luna. Steffy shouldn't believe a word that comes out of his mouth.

Do you think Steffy should do the same with her parents? Should she ice them out too for this “screw-up”? They’ve known that Luna was alive much longer than Finn has — why didn’t they pick up the phone and tell her? What’s stopping them? But nope, Finn and Steffy’s parents are involved together in deciding how to proceed, so I don’t see this as a screw-up or a betrayal when he’s just following their lead.

And I don't think Ridge and Taylor even told Finn about it. He had to learn his loony daughter was alive by seeing her walk into his office.

Exactly. No one told Finn even though they knew for a while; Luna had to shock him.
