Daphne telling Hope off - The World of the Bold & the Beautiful Fan Forum

Daphne mentioned that she had seen 'Hope's type' before—women who use men to get what they want. I can't help but wonder where she encountered these women? The first one must be a reflection of herself, as she's currently working on Carter to provoke a particular reaction and to secure the company for her best friend. The second woman who fits this description is clearly Daphne's friend, Steffy. After all, Steffy blackmailed Bill Spencer to reclaim shares of Forrester Creations and pursued Hope's boyfriends with the sole intention of hurting a Logan.

The entire narrative that Hope made Carter steal power at Forrester Creations is absurd. Carter was the one who came up with the plan. Hope simply embraced the idea, and I don't think I can blame her, especially considering all that she has endured with the toxic Forrester family. I don't necessarily agree with it or consider it the best moral choice, but I can understand it on a human level. Everyone has their limits and scheming Daphne has no room to talk.

I would prefer to see Daphne and Zende as a couple. She's not my favorite character, but if she stays I would prefer her and Zende. I don't really care what Hope does. But I do agree, this was not her idea. She just supported Carter. At the end of the day, all I want is for Eric to get his company back.

The problem is, Hope is in a totally different place than carter. Carter wants to end the "coup" because he knows that his "brother" and "Valentine" Ridge will take him back and forgive him. Carter´s ideas wer not accepted by the Forresters but he was never called dirty names, fired and escorted to the elevator.
To Hope this all happened, she was berated, called dirty names, then (wrongly) fired and humiliated. Of course she doesn´t want the "coup" to end, she finally has a peaceful work environment.
I suppose Harter will break up over this, Hope will not go back to FC and we will soon watch Hope´s "wakeup call", including catastrophic incidents whatever this means.

I am not sure if I will ever respect Eric after this. It is not like he was not warned by Ivy that Steffy was being unreasonable and using personal feelings as her business decisions. This man also knows Brooke and how she feels about them and the company. The woman is the mother of two of his children and grandchildren. He has yet to contact her and hear her side, he is choosing to be brainwashed by Steffy. He has yet to make an effort to listen to Brooke, Hope, or Carter.

If things don't change with Eric, then I will pull for whomever to pull the plug on him the next time.

You are right on all points.

Daphne is the one using Carter, not Hope. She seems to be proud of the way she uses her "charms" to influence men to do what she wants.

Steffy is the queen of using and manipulating men for her own selfish reasons. She used Bill, she wanted to have sex with Oliver so that Hope would leave LA, and she used her body to seduce Liam away from her own step-sister.

Hope is wrong to take part in the takeover but I also can see why she'd do it. Steffy and Ridge made FC a toxic environment. Carter offered a way out of it so she went along. Big deal. Was it justified? No, but I don't care. Steffy and Ridge had it coming.
