So Carter's single again...who's next? Steffy, Hope or else?

It was pretty obvious Katie and Carter wouldn't last but I still expected better for them. Another blatant example of bad writing and disrespect towards the fans of the characters and the couple. Unfortunately being paired with Katie is the kiss of death for characters that aren't named Bill Spencer. I don't understand why because Heather Tom is one of the best actresses but her character can't coexist without Bill. Wyatt went from leading man (before Katie) to a sidelined, meaningless character after Katie dumped him. The end was near for Nick once he got Katie pregnant and proposed to her. Ridge was immediately thrown into a new quadrangle with Caroline/Maya/Rick once his return storyline with Katie played out. Thorne was backburnered and then completely disappeared after he married Katie. I'm not surprised the same happened to Carter. He went from Zoe to Quinn to Paris and then back to Zoe and Paris and Quinn again... it all happened at light speed. Out of nowhere he was making out with Katie (same episode of Thope's dress fitting/fantasy kiss and Liam hugging Brooke before she'd drink her vodka, I remember it very well). The buildup was as rushed as the breakup, I guess. It was so obvious Bell wasn't taking them seriously. The (only) love scene wasn't even shown on screen : they immediately appeared under the sheets. Then they were never on together. A couple of scenes at Eric's party and his wedding but zero romantic interaction. Would have been impossible for a new viewer to guess they were a couple. All of a sudden her sisters are wondering if she is reuniting with Bill. It's like Katie and Carter never happened I guess. I doubt we'll ever have an explanation if the breakup happened off screen

What's next then? Seems like Katie will be in a triangle with Poppy and Bill. Maybe she'll have more chances against Poppy than she did with Steffy and Brooke. :lol What about Carter? Back to the monthly attorney crumbs with no love interest? Or is he going to be someone else's sloppy second? Zoe and Paris turned to him after being dumped by Thomas and Zende. Quinn used him because of Eric's ED. Maya only wanted him because Rick wanted Caroline. Who is next? If Steffy dumps Finn, wouldn't it be something if she rebounds with Carter instead of Liam? If Thomas doesn't want Hope back, she may turn to Carter. Could also be Brooke, Li, Poppy, Luna, Donna or Sheila's turn. Maybe the plan is to throw him at every single women until he's visited every bedrooms. Will he ever be with a woman who really loves him? Or will he be the eternal consolation price.?

Did they actually break up?
But my guess is Poppy. I don’t think she and Bill will last.
