Naive Finn doesn't know Steffy at all..he doesn't realize that Steffy will never have empathy for anyone except maybe her parents. LOL. He's in for a major shock that an ungrateful Steffy will never accept Sheila who already saved Kelly's life before plus now she offered herself to keep Steffy and the kids safe..these things don't matter to Steffy who holds forever grudges like she did Brooke and Hope, and will too with Sheila.

I have no reason to believe that Sheila actually offered herself up to save Steffy who she said she “loves” (Hello Finn, did you buy that too? ) and as far as saving Kelly, she was stalking Finn and a child who is unrelated to her, followed them from the hospital to the beach. Sheila was in the right place at the right time, for the wrong reason. She saved the unrelated child and the butt of the irresponsible dolt who turned his back on a child in his care at the beach.

I could be wrong, but I think what happened in the flashback is what happened. That was the point of it because everyone would question it if Sheila just said it. Maybe there is more to it; I don't know.
What I do know is she could have let Kelly drown or just watched, thinking Finn would turn around or someone else would help.

No one knew she was there, and that would have certainly been the end of Finn's marriage and her way in. But she didn't. She saved Kelly's life. Whether or not Finn was irresponsible in that moment has nothing to do with whether she jumped into the ocean and saved her. And Steffy acted like she would rather she had let her drown.
