A better story for the young set

What were you hoping for?

I had high hopes. I had imagined more of a story that they attempted with Zoe. As I recall, Zende had a following and Zoe was social media follower and she pretty much lost her mind after meeting Zende in person. I had imagined the truth was that Carter had pushed Zoe too hard for marriage. She just wasn’t ready. So I thought that maybe we would get another run at that story with Luna. The twist would have been that Zende would think Luna is sweet but not interested. However, RJ is crushing hard. In the end, Zende tries to play matchmaker but ends up falling in love. It made no sense that Zende became jealous of RJ of all people and all this emphasis on Luna’s virginal qualities made the story creepy for me. RJ talking to his parents and siblings about being Lunas first then the one night with Zende gave the story a creep factor. Anyway, I was expecting more of a lighthearted soapy young adult story. For me, Runa became too heavy too soon.

If you’re disappointed, what were you imagining or hoping for? Is it too late to fix it?


First of all if the writers wanted Zende to be angry at RJ they should have written it better. It happened so out of the blue and they made Zende look like a coward that misplaced his anger towards Eric to RJ and Ridge because he wouldn't dare to question is grandpa. His attraction to Luna also came out of the blue. There should be at least some time where we saw Zende, Luna and RJ working together and both men growing their feelings for Luna. Then it would make more sense to see Zende so jealous once RJ would win Luna's heart. We should see him suffering for some time and then Ridge should decide that RJ needs his very own line... Then and only then I would see Zende's anger as justified.


I honestly think the story was initially written as a battle between RJ and Thomas. Thomas being jealous of his kid brother would have been so logical given RJ arrived after the big CPS mess.


It would make more sense than the mess with Zende or Thope happening.


Definitely would've made more sense had they just gone with the route of RJ vs. Thomas..with Bridge's golden child returning and Thomas getting jealous of the attention RJ got etc. But the writing on this show has been bad, so I'm not surprise they didn't go with what made more sense imo.

It would be absolutely in character for Thomas and MA could shine with his acting in an SL like this. He was wasted for Thope.
