I don't think there's a pattern of Stephie turning to Liam for comfort. I don't think finn has ever done anything to make steffy need comfort.

I think the mere fact that Sheila did not attack Steffy is enough to drive a wedge in that marriage because Finn's feelings for Sheila have grown.b meanwhile, the feelings the foresters have for Sheila have gotten worse, and I'm going to enjoy them having to eat humble pie.

Steffy definitely turns to Liam when she’s upset and them sleeping together while in committed relationships has already happened. I do think that Finn feels something for Sheila and the Forresters view her as an animal so if Finn shows any relief, even if Shelia was trying to protect him, Steffy will not relent. That would certainly drive a wedge.

Support from a friend is different than "comfort." I do not see a pattern of her turning to liam "comfort." Support, yeah. Comfort, no pattern. Liam turns to her for that type of comfort.
