Hope today

If he loves her, why isn’t he willing to wait for her? Maybe he’s not in love either, just obsessed.

Well, an obsession would be indicative of waiting.

He has waited 7 years according to Beth's age. No one should blame him for wanting to hang it up. It's his right, and like Hope keeps telling everyone, no one knows what's between them and how they feel.

Personally, no one should give up years waiting on another person. That's incredibly unhealthy and it's not love if that other person wants them to wait for something that might never come.

In fact, it's cruel, and if the situations were reversed, no one would expect her to wait around for Thomas if he weren't ready just like they don't expect Hope to wait around for Liam to stop loving Steffy. It's the same thing, waiting around, not feeling like enough.

So if he loves her, why wouldn't he be willing to wait? He loves himself more? He's prioritizing himself the way she is prioritizing herself? He feels that his needs matter as much as her do?

He waited 7 years, but for Hope it's a fresh feeling. I don't understand why everything should revolve around only Thomas's feelings? If for him Hope should be as ready after few months as he is after 7 years then he should just go to hell.
I agree that Thomas prioritizes himself... As we saw he even prioritizes himself over his own son and we saw how he didn't prioritize Hope when he harmed her and wanted to condemn her to a life of a grieving mother. lol

And I don't understand why everything revolves around Hope's feelings.

If he went to hell, hopefully, Hope will follow him. He's not going to hell, but he will consider going to Paris

It doesn't have to. Thomas is free to leave, but this whole acting like a victim is ridiculous. He is no victim. He can leave without acting like Hope is the monster in his story just because she isn't as ready as him.

Then it doesn't have to revolve around Thomas, and Thomas is not acting like a victim. He's not acting like a monster, either.

I disagree. Imo he is acting like a victim and this is how Steffy and Ridge see him. He should remember to apologize to Hope for lying that he is able to wait and that he is okay as long as she is in his arms before he leaves LA.

I disagree. IMO he is not acting like a victim and it's not how Steffy or Ridge see him. Hope should remember to apologize to him for lying that she wanted to be a family with him, Douglas, Beth, and her and that she was taking his proposal under serious advisement before he leaves LA.

Okay, I see it differently and that's where we just won't agree. I will especially not agree that with the part that Steffy and Ridge don't see Thomas as Hope's victim. That's pretty obvious to me that they do see him as one and that's why they attack Hope.
Hope and Thomas are family so where is the lie? They share a son and they were a family even when Hope was married to Liam. They will continue to be a family as long as Hope is legally Douglas's mother. Since Beth is Hope's daughter she is a part of that extended family too. Hope said that she needs more time and there is no proof of her not taking his proposal under serious advisement. Thomas lied about being okay with giving Hope time and that is something we can't deny as he said it loud and clear more than once. He is the liar and only he needs to apologize.
