Horse ass Ridge is going to be all indignant when he gets there and finds out Finn left Steffy alone to deal with her mess, by herself. LOL

He is horrible today. Those Faux Forresters seem to think that they get to do the investigations and declare self defense all on their own. I cannot believe the entitled attitude of these folks. Sheila was unarmed. Steffy murdered an unarmed person.

I keep saying it - self-defense is an affirmative defense. It doesn't mean she didn't do it intentionally. It means it comes up at trial to prove justification. It does not negate the charge. And when raising it as a defense, the defense must prove it. And they must prove the self-defense response was proportionate to the action. An example is: someone strikes me with an open hand, the proportionate response may be for me push them away. It would not be proportionate for me to pull out a gun and shoot them.

If I'm defense counsel, this isn't a bad defense. It's dark, someone who previously shot you is in your house and you think they lunge at you. The counterpoint is that Sheila was unarmed, it was her son's house as well, and Steffy told other people that she wanted Sheila to be dead. The jury will never know what Sheila said outside the cliff house. If the item in Sheila's pocket is harmless, a jury might find the stabbing was a disproportionate response to the actual threat.

That's true. I think she planned to sneak up on Steffy and choke the life out of her as she was looking for candles.
