Questions about Sheila

Did Finn, Jack, or Li ask for a DNA test to make sure that Sheila is even Finn's mother, or did everyone just believe her?

If Sheila had PS to look like Phyllis, then why does she now look like Sheila again? I mean PS is not going to make you look exactly like someone else, nor is it going to restore you to what you looked like before.

Sheila confessed in front of Baker that she did not mean to shoot Steffy and Finn, so why isn't she is prison now? Bill would have no way at all of stopping a criminal charge, and they would not have needed Sinn to be able to say Sheila shot them. If SINN had died, and Sheila declared to Baker or in custody that she did not mean to shoot them, then they would have proceeded with prosecuting her. Without the gun they may have had to reduce the charge, but they would not have let her walk.

Paternity tests don't necessarily happen on air, but at the time, Jack said he was there when she gave birth. The question might have been whether he was actually his father, but I would imagine as a defense attorney, he was smart enough to do his own testing.

That storyline happened on Y& R and they have repeatedly said that they are separate universes. Sheila is dead on Y&R. If they ever revisit it, they will just say it wasn't Sheila. Of course, it is impossible KB & MS don't even have similar body types. The storylines were ridiculous and not meant to be realistic. They will probably never revisit under the current head writer because his style of writing is much more realistic.

Sheila didn't confess to Lt Baker. She confessed during a conversation with Steffy, Ridge & Taylor that was recorded. In general, something like that is enough for a warrant, maybe an arrest, but it needs evidence to corroborate it. Confessions have to be handled in a very specific manner in order to be used as evidence, or a good attorney is all you need to get it thrown out. The main witness deciding not to testify is not a good sign for a trial that would go in front of a jury. People confess under duress all the time and then recant.

Is the story 100% realistic? Probably not. But we just watched Eric have surgery for a mystery unnamed illness performed by his daughter and grandson-in-law. We were told that Finn was brain dead, but Li (a very petite woman) carried his comatose body out, loaded him in a truck, transported him to a random location, and nursed him back to health. I could fill up this page with all of the storylines they have shown over the years that are utterly ridiculous.
