Do they really have to interrupt shows with news breaks (Off Topic)

with stories that are not emergencies and could wait until the news came on? They interrupted for the verdict of the Jennifer Crumbley trial. I could see if there was something happening that was going to affect the whole country, but to interrupt for a trial verdict seems going a little far to me.

Usually for me this is annoying, but after seeing the lineup for today, I could have cared less, RJ and Luna, Donna and Eric, Brooke and Ridge, Katie and Carter, please another day and another time.

Exactly how I felt. I commented to my husband that this was the first time I didn’t mind them cutting to news vs continuing the show. Sad.

The news is definitely more interesting. I was watching that trial, and I was hoping they would not to convict the parents. Don't get me wrong, they were negligent, but I don't think it was too good level of involuntary manslaughter. I can say if it was, though Thomas definitely did involuntary manslaughter.
