I felt at the moment she was gaslighting everyone so she could carry on her lust of fest with Thomas before she even kissed him.

I don't know what they're trying to turn hope into, but they should have done it in a way that she could maintain all of her fans, and her every fan could understand her instead of just blindly accepting the writing and this is what they want to do, and going along with it.

It usually worked with Steffy. No matter what she did. They thought it will work with Hope as well...

Steffy was never cruel and arrogant with her mother that I can recall. That is one difference. Steffy also never screwed someone for months and months without letting them know she loved them. That is the 2nd difference. And most importantly, Steffy is over-the-top protective of her children, maybe that is why she did not jump on top of a man, 1 hour after Liam left her. That is difference #4.
