No matter what happens to Thope...

2023 was a blessing for their fans like me. I know how many viewers were craving for this pairing since their first episode in 2019, finally it happened. Thomas has been completely devoted and in love with her since his return, and while he did some shady things in 2019, he has treated her like a Queen since Zoe. Since then, he has put her happiness first and reunited her with Liam twice (revealed the truth about Vinny's paternity test and Vinny's suicide). He has encouraged her to forgive Liam after doll gate and until Liam signed the divorce papers, he was still telling Hope to fight for her marriage and do what makes her happy. He only made his move after Hope made it crystal the marriage was over and confirmed she has feelings for him. He has been very selfless, patient and understanding. He told her to let him love her the way no one else can, it was such a moving moment. I was a former big Hope-Liam fan myself, when it was the other actress, but now I think it'd be a huge mistake to reunite them. Liam needs a new frash start with a new love interest. I always kept hope that someday, the writers would give Thope a chance and here we are.
No matter what happens in the future, I got everything I wanted in 2023. The buildup of Thope between March and June has been amazingly well written. They got closer and closer, Hope developped feelings to the point she was imagining Thomas every time her husband was touching her. She fought these feelings and started fantasizing with her heart beating faster and faster around him. They had so many powerful, intense moments like when they held hands and gazed into each other's eyes for the first time. Or when he overheard her and Brooke and she spent 3 episodes crying and trying to apologize. Or all these physical contacts (hugs, handholding, dress fitting) that made Hope smitten... The San Francisco trip, the massage in the plane, the buildup before Rome. Douglas wasn't involved, which means they grew closer without anyone pressuring them or interfering. And since Rome, it's gotten even better. The writers said Rome would tell storiES about eternal love, which tells me he wasn't only talking about Bridge. The preview, the press conference, then these kisses in front of the Colosseum were so intense, then they went sightseeing hand in hand together, like they were a couple. It was one of the most expensive B&B location shoots ever and they made it about the beginning of Thope, I think it says a lot about how seriously the writers took them. In June, I wasn't even sure they were gonna kiss and here we are. They had some of the most passionate, tender sex scenes I got to watch in the soap world. Hope looked so happy and peaceful after their first time, she told him she never felt this way about anyone before, and fell asleep in his arms. Thomas pointed out how fast her heart was beating. Nothing can convince me these scenes were all about sex and no feelings. She certainly had no remorse or regrets after Brooke caught them. The dialogs made it clear they spent seveal nights together at his apartment, not just 1 night. Since then, it's a slow buildup and I honestly prefer this over another quick marriage/divorce situation. Taking a couple slowly, step by step, proves the writers wanted to invest and make them a legit pairing. It is completely normal that Hope isn't ready to tell the world that she is in love with him. Her divorce is still fresh and she doesn't want to rush things up nor look like her mother. In the meantime, I'm enjoying their interactions and the hotness of their scenes. This journey was amazing and I still hope the destination will be up to it. Right now they are best friends, co-parents, dream team at work, sex partners who have feelings, a strong mutual attraction and a deep mutual respect. 1 year ago, I didn't think half of these things would be possible so I'll be fine if the writers decide to stop it now. All these beautiful moments/memories they shared will remain forever. Everything the writers did for Thope in 2023 was perfect. I still hope she will confess her love and move in with Thomas during the November sweeps or before Christmas, maybe it will take something big (like Sheila hurting him) for her to admit it. I still hope this journey is far from over because I don't think I could ever like a B&B couple like these 2. I still want to see them happy. I can think of thousands of different scenarions/angst for them. The dialogs have mentionned Romeo/Juliet more than once, I would love to see them against the whole world, like AN said in a recent article. However, I'm aware this could be over very soon too. It's up to the writers to decide. But no matter what happens, 2023 was amazing for Thope. Nothing will ever erase the dozens of beautiful moments they shared this year.

Nothing will ever change or erase that Thomas is a disgusting monster.
