It is about more than just Finn doing what Steffy asked. Steffy now knows that Finn has been lying to her and that he and Sheila shared more than one embrace. They connected and he called her mom. And Sheila is right that Finn is doing it to appease Steffy. I saw the moment that Steffy decided she was done with this. It was never going to work and if Steffy knew Sheila was Finn's mother BEFORE she married him, she would NOT have done so.

That is the best take I have seen on this. Sheila is good at seeing weakness in people it is why she is able to manipulate them. People keep saying Sheila is just delusional. But she isn’t she sees what’s under the surface. The whole time she was with Bill she never went to see Finn or even tried to talk to him because she knew she had no chance.
