In a way, yes...to make Leffy "understandable" Hope had to develop feelings for Tom and Finn had to develop feelings for his mother...now it´s neither Liam´s nor Steffy´s fault their marriages broke up.
They didn´t want another Tequila Night to happen which would probably have ruined Liam completely.
