Ridge is the key here (Spoilers)
Ridge made it clear to Brooke and RJ that Liam loves Steffy. Brooke and RJ made it clear they don’t care about that, they just want Hope with Liam. When Ridge made the comment about how staying together because they of the kids isn’t good, he is speaking from experience. I think he understands Liam better than anyone because Hope is Liam’s Taylor and Steffy is his Brooke. Ridge knows how this will eventually end, Liam told Ridge everything, and he gets it. I know spoilers show Ridge at the cabin, maybe he does the right thing and tells Hope himself. Ridge could also want Hope for Thomas because he knows he wants her and he wants Steffy out of Sheila’s orbit. This would also spell more soapy trouble for Bridge, so lots of possibilities.

Ridge and Brooke having trouble is old news but always seems to creep back in due to their kids. Ridge could blow this whole thing wide open by simply telling her what Brooke won’t. I think he may just do it.

That Liam has declared that letting go of Steffy is his biggest regret and if he hit her back he’d never let her go because he loves her. That would change everything ti know for a fact that you are indeed his second choice.
Liam said this all before, then changed his tune. Not sure why what he says while upset with Hope is the absolute, no holds barred truth?
Because if Hope knew he’d been trying to get back With Steffy desperately since their split she may realize that trying to work it out with him is going to cause nothing but more heartache. She also feels like a terrible person at the moment and that might help her not feel like she’s not the only one who didn’t or isn’t respecting her marriage.
