Something Hope said to Liam

In Wednesday's episode Hope said to Liam...

"But maybe, the situation is just untenable. I know that you’ve always felt pulled in two different directions and you’ve always wanted more time over at steffy’s, and well, um… yeah, now’s– now’s your chance."

Sounds like Liam was wanting to spend time at Steffy's house. That's hardly appropriate.

But prior to this story, I didn't see Hope expressing or complaining about Liam wanting to spend time at the cliff house seeing his other family. So why all of a sudden during the divorce signing bringing this up now and not before? Hope still makes no sense to me..especially given her erratic behaviors these past few months.

And yet, he kissed Steffy twice already.

That's AFTER THE FACT that she cheated on him. Still doesn't take away my point that I was making in bold above.

Hope didn't have any excuses for why she kissed Thomas. She couldn't even figure it out herself. But now she's realizing that Thomas became more attractive to her because he represents to her something that Liam will never be. A one-woman man. That doesn't mean kissing Thomas was okay. It was wrong. But it explains why she did something that was so out of character for her. It's not an excuse. It's an explanation.

The story isn't about Hope thinking Liam has been pining after Steffy. It's about her realizing now that the hurt from all the times he cheated with her has never gone away and that, even though he isn't pining for Steffy now, he COULD start to again, if Hope disappoints him. The comment he made, "...I'm thinking about her now." confirmed it.

Then she should have divorced him several months ago if she’s always worried that “he COULD start again”.

But she didn't realize all of this until this story.

But she started developing feelings for Thomas months ago, so if Steffy has been an issue all these past several months, one would think she would address it with Liam but she never did all this time especially since she was shown having no problem asking Steffy to talk to Liam about Thomas!

But she couldn't address it back then because she's just figuring all this out now.

Hope: No, liam. When I apologized to you for that, I meant it. I own what I did. Look, the more I think about that kiss and why it even happened, why I would allow myself to risk so much… the more I begin to think that it is about something far deeper than just that. It is about the cyclical dynamic that we have had with steffy that has eroded the foundation of our relationship throughout so many years.

Exactly what Hope said. She has no reason to lie or make it up. Exactly has she sees it

Yeah, and it's a perfectly logical explanation, if you ask me. I don't know what's so unbelievable about it. I mean, Liam DOES have a divided heart. And he did hurt Hope with Steffy...several times. I know people will all have different interpretations, but if they straight up have a character say something, then that character means it, unless, of course, the story is that the character is a liar. But I highly doubt that the story we are getting is one of Hope being a liar. She fell for Thomas because he's a one-woman-man, unlike Liam. It's as simple as that, for me. I HATE it. But I accept it.

That is how I see it. She found someone that just wanted her and the things said to her just made her even sure she didn’t want Liam anymore. I like Thope but don’t think that it is going last. Just someone that sees Hope as Hope and no one else involved

Yeah, it was time for a change and this is what we got. I think Thope could last for a while. There's a lot of story potential, especially when it comes to FC and also when Taylor gets involved, because I think she's going to make it a Forrester vs Logan issue.

Taylor will do something. Poor Hope.
I am just wondering if this is just to remain a kind of a close friendship with benefits relationship. Just Hope having someone that has her back, supports her, loves her, a friendship she can trust
Not a love for a lifetime. Opposite of Liam. I don’t think Thomas would hurt her
