Poor Communication Doomed Lope

Hope had clearly been harboring deep feelings of insecurity for a long time but she didn't communicate them to Liam. Instead she allowed it to draw her away from him. Ultimately it's probably for the best. I struggle to imagine what Liam could've said that would've made her insecurity go away. Hope's love for Liam kept them together but her inability, for damn good reason, not to fully trust him tore them apart. If she'd found a way to communicate her feelings to him they could've realized the marriage was untenable and went their separate ways months ago.

Hope's inability to create boundaries with Thomas doomed Lope.

But is was fine Liam not creating boundaries?

Well, Liam did try to create boundaries with Thomas, but Hope wasn't having it. So, yes, Hope was the problem, not Liam.

Liam never created boundaries with Steffy hence a paternity with Hayes. Kissing Steffy twice when Finn wasn’t around? So no, Liam is the original and biggest problem.
