If Steffy takes Liam back after all the times he used her when Hope disappointed him, that would make her as pathetic as her mother. But, who knows, maybe a pine cone will drop on his head.

You can say everyone on this show pathetic then when Liam forgave Steffy and Hope for sleeping with his brother and got back with them.
When Hope sleeps with a man who looked her in the face and said get over her dead child that he knew wasn't
dead that would make her pathetic as well.
Even though I love them together but Liam forgiving his wife for sleeping with his father really.
The point is the pathetic case can be made for everyone on this show so what is the point.

Even Filler Finn completely ignoring Steffy sleeping with Liam while in a relationship with him would make him kinda pathetic as well and so on to many examples too count.
