Those few sentences uttered by Liam changed everything… “ I wasn’t before but I’m thinking of Steffy now” and “ you are broken.” It was clear Hope took those to heart and decided to act on everything she’d been suppressing. Today she was an example of- “ Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!”

I think it's best Liam said it all because he did Hope and himself a favor. That was gonna happen no matter what. It just would have taken longer with more secrets, more arguments, and more long nights at the office. Maybe Wyatt convinces Liam that he was hasty, but this was inevitable. Hope was too hot to trot. She uses as an excuse, and that's fine because if it wasn't this excuse, it would have been something else.

I agree, I didn't believe the "this stays in Rome", she is too "hot to trot" as you say. Even if Liam had never seen them, after Rome, they would have been hooking up at work.

Hope was looking for an excuse - and this also takes away the "it was a mistake, I was caught up in the moment"
