Brooke is the key moving forward for Hope

Full disclosure- I am now and have always been a Brooke fan since the first day in 1987. I’ve watched her make terrible mistakes, do inexplicable things and marveled at her resilience and ability to forgive. However, her constantly pushing Hope to forgive Liam and compete for his love was a pattern she’d lived and survived , but it wasn’t good for Hope. She convinced Hope that she was the love of Liam’s life and encouraged Hope to ignore all the times Liam proved he wasn’t capable of fully giving his heart to only Hope. It was the same thing Ridge did, but Hope wasn’t built to overcome that like her mom. .it made her insecure, desperate and not in touch with her own heart. Brooke now needs to love and support her daughter, regardless of how alarmed she is by Thomas ( with good reason). Kinda like how kids do tge opposite of what you want as a parent for their own good. Hope has got to grow up and see herself as a complete person, not dependent on Liam , her mom, Thomas or anyone else for validation. Then, and only then, will Hope figure out what she needs/ wants.

I do not believe Brooke convinced Hope that Liam was the love of her life. Brooke supported Hope who got pushed into marriage when steffy made it a race to have sex with Liam. That is where Hope's problems started, when Taylor’s child dragged Hope into the Logan war, trying to take Hope's boyfriend hostage.

But Hope should have outgrown all of that with her time in Europe. She said she dated, so she got some experience with other men. Hope should be a lot more wise now. And she's not. She's falling.

I wish she could be honest like Caroline was. I might be remembering wrong but Caroline fell in love with Ridge. Was she blaming Maya? Rick? I don't remember now but I think I championed her, so it had to be more authentic than Hope's drivel.

Hope is a victim of horrible recharacterization. She's now a perpetual victim of Steffy’s like Caroline senior claimed Tobe or Brooke and it's unattractive. Jmo
