For some inexplicable reason Brooke is a big Liam fan...perhaps his waffling reminds her of Ridge?

Brooke only sees Hope as a reflection of herself, not as her own woman. Nor does Brooke want her daughters to outshine her in any way. Brooke chose to saddle herself with a man with a divided heart, so her reflection, (Hope) must be, and do the same thing. Brooke also despises Thomas. So for Hope, (reflection), who gets a man that only wants her, who prospers with that man that she despises, that is gonna be like a slap in the face to her on many levels. She will never support Hope and Tom being together, and she is going to be begging Liam to take Hope back, just like she's begged Ridge to take her back over the years. Brooke is always in Hope's ear, and never lets he have an original thought of her own. Every time Hope tries to separate herself from Brooke's train of thought, she hounds and badgers her back in line again. I can see War coming on the horizon!

Brooke is desperate to control every aspect of Hope's life. I remember her telling a Virgin Hope to sleep with Liam while he was still legally married to Steffy. And when Hope did sleep with Liam, (on Brooke's urging), Hope surrendered herself over to Brooke for her control. By Leaving Liam (the man that Brooke wanted for Hope) and being with Tom, and becoming his lover, Hope is finally taking charge of her "Va Jay Jay!" which Brooke will hate!
