Which triangle is about to start?

Liam now wants Steffy, but so far Steffy is happy with Finn. Will Liam keep going after Steffy and cause trouble with Finn and be a Liam/Steffy/Finn triangle?
If Steffy keeps turning him down and Finn beats his little tofu rear end, will Liam decide that he wants to stay married to Hope but Hope has moved on with Thomas making it a Liam/Hope/Thomas triangle? Will Liam tell Hope that he now wants to save their marriage but Hope tells him in return sorry, but now I want a divorce? If Liam gets turned down by both Steffy and Hope, who is left for Liam except for desperate Taylor? Paris is supposed to be dating Zende, Brooke is with Ridge, Steffy is with Finn, Hope will be with Thomas. Donna is with Eric and Katie is with Carter. It is either Taylor or sit at home with Wyatt and Bill and play Old Maid on the weekends.

I have suspected for a while that they will bring on a new female character, maybe one of Finn's sisters; that way, she would have a dual role of romantic and familial. Bell talked about expanding the families, which has yet to happen beyond RJ. They need another woman in that age range to make anything work.

As it stands, Jack may end up being Sheila's attorney, and she will get off with his help and potentially throw some of these characters under the bus in the process. That may cause tension between Sinn. We may go back to his decision to save her life. It was easy for Steffy to be okay with it when she was locked up. This might make Steffy more vulnerable to Liam's advances. Then the kisses will be exposed. Ultimately even if they break up, Sinn will reunite. But there is a significant story to be told before Liam needs a new love interest.

I wish they could bring on new characters and not make them related to anyone already on the show. That way, there could be more couple's that are not in-laws or step-kin.

I think it's hard. They have to be related to someone because the cast is so small everyone has to have multiple purposes. Who was the last character not related to anyone? Finn at first, but then Sheila was revealed as his mother before that. I can't even recall. Maybe Xander & Zoe? Maybe Emma? And we see where they ended up.

The Avants are the last that I remember. I miss that family.
