I don’t understand the idea that just because I think Thope is flat out wrong, that somehow I must support Lope. Do I think Beth deserves to have a whole family more than Douglas, yes. Every time someone says Douglas will be happy, I want to scream even though it’s not real. I have been mad with Liam since Steffy entered his life, but I believe Hope gaslighted Liam and is still gaslighting him. I think that’s why he’s so bitter. It’s not just the kiss or that she kissed someone he despises. It’s the way she treated him as if he’s wrong about his suspicions. However, I believe not disclosing kissing Steffy is a form of gaslighting.

For me, not liking Thope doesn't equate to liking or supporting Lope. Not liking Thope is simply not liking Thope. I get that many don't like Liam. But, SC is such a great actor, I look forward to watching him in meaty scenes and when he interacts with DB and DD, it's gold. This story is a tough one because I can't forget the past 4 years where Hope put her needs above everyone else's needs, including Beth's. And, despite all the horrendous, hideous things that Thomas has done, she continued to let him slide. Liam may have cheated with Steffy, but that night was the result of Liam's anxiety surrounding Hope's continued relationship with a man Liam despises and fears. Thomas is dangerous. How difficult that must have been for both Liam and Brooke to know and yet Hope refuse to see. Many are saying that Steffy is to Hope what Thomas is to Liam and that is something that I wholeheartedly don't agree with. Thomas is psychotic. He's dangerous. There isn't anything Thomas wouldn't do to get what he wants. He abused his child. He murdered an innocent woman. He attempted to sexually assault Hope. He terrorized Brooke. He drugged Liam. There isn't a line Thomas wouldn't cross. I can't say the same about Steffy. Thope is not a viable couple and Bell going there is bad karma.
