For me nothing changed today.

No amount of thinking about it has changed Hope's mind. She is still in a stupor. She confesses to RJ that it was her that kissed Tom and she knew it was wrong, she loves Liam. But she did say she felt restrained by the
shackles of being the good girl in a gilded cage and wanted to feel free. Guess that did not work after all.

And because of what she told Thomas on the plane ride home, what happens in Rome stays in Rome it looks like she never intended to share this moment with Liam and rightfully so the way he finally took it when he already knew.

So instead we have the outside influences, Wyatt talking to Liam and practically pushing him to go give Hope another chance, and then Hope texting Liam and wanting to discuss it more. But she pushes it too far and lays hands on his face and he is disgusted.

And yet Thomas is just now finding out from Steffy what others know and he has yet to confront Hope and certainly not Liam. So they missed July 4th but you know fireworks are coming.
