Is Hope in love with Liam?

I saw an old movie in which this woman started developing active fantasies for her co-worker. In fact she accidentally called her husband by the man’s name. He was horrified when he realized what was going on, but when he pretended to move on, she flipped out and fought for her marriage. The difference here is that her husband didn’t know the coworker and the relationship was an emotional fantasy. There was never physical contact. This woman was still in love with her husband. It turns out she was in love with idea of another man wanting her. She wanted to be desired.

So what about Hope? Is Hope in love with Liam at all? If so why has she been obsessed with Thomas? Is she in love with Thomas? If so why does she keep talking about loving Liam?

I think Hope has never known her true feelings about anyone or anything. I’m still not convince she’s in love with Thomas. That movie told the story of a woman who was getting caught up in her fantasies and didn’t want to be just seen as a mother or wife. She wanted to know that men would still find her attractive and desirable. Of course there was no Thomas character in this movie who had done so damage to the family.
