this just illustrates how far back liam has been dealing with the thomas issue, and there's a reason that he thought hope was into him back then too and might betray him, because in the months leading up to that they were having the same problems as they are now with her always defending thomas and spending so much time with him etc, it doesn't make what liam did right but he sensed something was off even back then

I would say that Liam has pretty much detested Thomas since his return after Caroline's death. He many not have liked him before, but the real negative feelings blossomed during the Beth situation. The effort that Liam put into finding out Beth was alive was huge. I can't imagine how he felt when Douglas told finally told him.

It goes back to when Liam married Steffy, and Thomas and Hope graffitied Liam's house. Then Cabo. Hope never should have gone to Cabo with that man. He still can't get over her.

He posited it as a work thing, and they got separate rooms. Liam was married to her nemesis, why shouldn't she go somewhere with another man that she kept completely platonic? Liam should have never proposed to and married Steffy.

Weren't Thomas and Hope dating at the time of Cabo? I thought the trip was a getaway not a work thing. And, if the trip was platonic, why was he proposing? That's a pretty big jump, no?

They had done some things together, but the Cabo trip was supposed to be work related. He proposed because Steffy convinced him to do so. She even had Bill buy a ring and give it to Thomas. I would say yes, it was a big jump for Steffy to try to keep her "marriage" safe.

Thanks. I don't remember the exact details of their relationship at that time, but I do remember that Steffy encouraged Thomas to have sex with a drunk Hope and to propose to her. Some really sick stuff.
