Liam is afraid Thomas is gonna rape Hope or physically hurt her.... His fears are partly valid given that Thomas tried to kill Hope's brother but he isn't right..... Nothing I have seen implies or suggests he is gonna harm or rape her.... Even at the peak of his obsession, he put the Vinny pills in the drawer of the nightstand and agreed to spend his wedding night on the couch,..... and he has never physically harmed Hope either.... If he didn't cross these lines when Hope was his wife, he isn't gonna do it now after all these years....

So what is he afraid of, exactly?.... Hope told him she can handle herself and that she isn't afraid of Thomas... Deep down he is scared he has lost Hope but he won't admit it...... His ego could never recover.... But it's happening and he will learn it in the worse way.... The only person who is right is Steffy....
