So Hope invited Thomas?

Today, Thomas said Hope "invited" Thomas. To me, that means he wasn't slated to go. There hadn't been plans for him to attend, and Hope is the reason he will be there.

Thomas shouldnt need an invitation. He is the lead designer and the press would find it very odd if he didnt attend.
