I felt neutral about Thomas until the Beth story. I think you are right about a personal value system. Emma was such an irrelevant character, but watching Thomas smirk about her car crash knowing that she was racing to go tell someone about Beth irritated me. He yelled at his son about it and he did it all to win Hope. These kiddie stories get me every time.

Only some people, like Brooke.

I recall hearing the Tridge Mafia harp on and on and on about how Brooke never changes, even after they knew Sheila drugged her.

They did say that but I’m talking about what viewers have seen of the character on screen over the years. I’ve actually seen a lot of change in Steffy over the years too. To date change for Thomas has only been teased.
