Parallels Between Hope and Caroline

I see a lot of parallels between Caroline in 2014 and Hope now. When Caroline fell for Ridge she didn't immediately end her marriage. She outright admitted to Ridge that she had fallen for him but didn't want end her marriage to Rick because she didn't want to be a failure. She was willing to stay married to Rick while being in love with Ridge. Fast-forward to now, Hope is in love with Thomas even if she hasn't admitted it (all the signs are there) but she's not ready to leave Liam. She's willing to be married to Liam while also in love with another man. In Caroline's case, Rick lost his mind and made her decision easy. We don't yet know what's gonna happen with Liam yet.

About Liam's reaction... he is not an attempted killer bully dark CEO like Rick! He will be devastated but he will get over it, especially if nothing PHYSICAL happens! My hope is he gracefully removes himself and lets Hope decide! If he sees she is torn, he will file for divorce and tell Hope to be with Thomas! His biggest fear now is that Thomas schemes or takes advantage of Hope,... once he knows SHE was the problem all along, his opinion about Thomas will change IMHO!

I don't see Liam's opinion of Thomas ever changing. Nor do I see Liam gracefully removing himself. I'm thinking that Liam will be gutted and will go guns blazing on Thomas and Hope. Anything less will be disappointing.
