“The Young and the Restless (3.220 million), “The Bold and the Beautiful” (2.784 million) and “The View” (2.094 million) each saw a significant week-to-week drop among Total Viewers. The two CBS can point to the network’s continued coverage of UEFA Champions League games on Wednesday, May 17 as a factor in their falls as each soap was preempted, amended, or broken out in key markets on that day.

That's why it's hard to take these ratings seriously. There are pre-emptions literally every week, lately. More and more viewers are complaining about it on Twitter. These numbers are misleading.
